I just saw the word "chick" and figured it was a girl card. I guess if it bugs me too much we can always "lose" it and get a new one.

Juggling
I used to be really good at multi-tasking. Having three kids though makes it a little trickier. Take today for example. I took Tati and Gavin to the library. It seemed like no big deal until suddenly when I'm trying to talk to the librarian, Tati runs away and Gavin starts screaming and I'm trying to chase her, console him and not knock over all the books we've collected. Before we left and Tati was being much better, I told her she could finally have her own library card. The librarian asks her what color she wants and then asks me to pick out which saying she wants on her card. That is just when Gavin decides to cry again and won't stop crying unless I'm holding his pacifier to his lips and I can't hold that and see the librarians desk so I just quickly skim the sayings and pick one. Then we get home and I realize that I'm an idiot. Look at Tati's new library card.

I just saw the word "chick" and figured it was a girl card. I guess if it bugs me too much we can always "lose" it and get a new one.

Cover Girl!
One of the advantages to going to the doctor's office frequently is that I could plan to take a photo of this billboard. Don't worry, I wasn't the one driving. I just wanted to mention this, mostly for my sister but for anybody else who lived through the 80's with me. All kinds of styles and things from the 80's are coming back--some shouldn't and some I don't mind as much. This is one that I don't mind as much. Let's call it "nude lips".

I don't know if my sister was the one who invented this lip style but she is the one who showed me how to do it. If you want to be retro and do this "new" look from the 80's, here's what you need:
You put cover stick all over your lips. Your lips should be dry. Don't listen if your Mom tells you that you look like a corpse.
2.Then you need to put some sort of shimmery lipstick on top. We used to use "Wet-n-Wild" #512 to be exact but as far as google can tell me, that color either doesn't exist anymore or else it is going by another name. The funny thing about Wet-n-Wild lipstick is that is was $1.00 then and I'm pretty sure it is $1.00 now. 512 looked like a mixture between the two middle lipsticks in this picture.
I don't know if "nude lips" are really for me anymore but every time I see somebody with this look on, I can't help but smile.
Now we just have to wait for Aquanet to have its comeback. Oh, and I did buy some blue eyeliner this week. Almay assures me it is just perfect for my blue eyes.

The Golden Year!

Tati turned 3 recently (ok, truthfully this has been sitting in my "drafts" folder since January). She is so cute and fun and crazy and full of attitude and independence. We love her so much. She wanted to have a "party" so I, of course, couldn't resist. She invited two friends over and told me exactly what she wanted to do:
- Paint nails. This girl loves nail polish. It is pretty amazing to believe how still she can sit when she really never is still in the rest of her life.
- Dance. Put on some music and if you really want to up the ante, you can turn the "Visualizer" on for itunes.
- Eat.
- Play.
Where have these 3 years gone so quickly?!
So here are some pics to remember the festivities:
Me and the dragon brownie cupcakes.Spending some quality one on one time with Daddy who took the morning off from school for the party.

The crazy big sis. We let Chloe come home early for lunch and be around for the party. It made her feel so grown up to help with the little kids.
Reading with her Daddy and getting all the attention just on her.And we'll finish with this one:

Partay!
I ran some errands with Chloe yesterday and at some point we started talking about ways to say throwing up. Chloe was laughing so hard at all the choices. Poor Tati was the cause of our inspiration because she has been spewing all weekend. I don't want to wish salmonella on her but that way the rest of us won't get this too. I know I don't have the only child who licks things in public, right? Like food displays and deli counters. But I digress.
Here's our list. Did we miss any?

- throw up
- barf
- puke
- ralph
- lose your lunch
- toss your cookies
- vomit
- spew
- up chuck
- hurl
- heave

Best Kid Ever!
I just wanted to say that I have the best daughter in the whole world. You see, today is Greg's birthday. Usually when it is your birthday, you wake up and the dining room is decorated for you, you have a special breakfast, and you get a delicious dinner and birthday cake. Unfortunately as we all know, I have just had an intense surgery and am still quite busted up. I was looking on the calendar a few days ago and said, "Greg, do you realize that it will be your birthday on Sunday?" and he, of course hadn't. That is what happens as you get older, your birthday isn't so anticipated. Then last night night I said, "I'm sorry to say that your birthday isn't going to be all you want it to be." and he says, "I'm sorry to say that is also true for Valentine's Day." Then we laughed and we were good. We can celebrate all that stuff later. Right now, our big thrills are sleeping in or having Tati not color with markers on something.
Of course Tati woke up early when she heard her little brother crying. It was 6:30 to be exact. Nobody wanted her awake because the first thing she wants is breakfast and she'll continue to whine for breakfast and say she is starving. Yeah, you're starving because you didn't eat dinner last night. Same story everyday. Anyway, Greg finally takes her and Chloe downstairs at 7 when I'm done feeding the baby and lets me lay down for a bit more. As they are walking downstairs, I hear Chloe casually ask her dad what his favorite animal is. He said, "A yak".
At about 8:30, the girls come back into our room and I whisper to Chloe, "Today is Daddy's birthday. Maybe you can go make him a card really fast." To which she replies, "Don't worry Mom, I already took care of it and I had Tati make something too."
Greg said this was his best present ever. Such a sweetie pie.
So this is what came from the sister craft time.
