Sam I Am

I was brushing my teeth in the bathroom and listening to Tati read Gavin a book. It was so cute. I had that thought over and over again, "That is so cute, I should get a movie." Then it finally struck me to get the camera so I only got half of the story but let's be honest, that is a long story so maybe it is better this way. Tati is starting to "read" all kinds of stories to me and to Gavin. It is such a fun phase. She is growing up too fast lately.

Play Time

Isn't it hilarious what kids come up with? This is the beloved "Sneaky". He's Tati's BFF. He is driving the barbie car today with "Slush", the giant (freaky) eyed husky.

Tre Fashion

Did you know that grey and yellow are like so in? (I didn't know either.) Well they are. My friend, Jeanette was making her and her daughter some skirts and had some extra fabric so she just whipped up a few more for my chillins. Seriously, how nice is that? The girls LOVE the skirts and I was quite proud of how we were able to rustle up some other clothes from their closets to match that look like I worked hard to come up with these ensembles.

Fall is here!

I love Fall. A cozy sweater, a hot drink. That's the best. Chloe and I had an extended conversation about seasons recently when I walked her home from school just me and her. We decided that we really want to live somewhere where we can have all the seasons just not for too long. California is awesome but there is no real Fall experience and no snow. Arizona is fun, especially when you have a pool, but eternal Summer is a bit hot and boring. So where will we end up then? Who knows, maybe Colorado again. We really did love it there. Here is a pic I stole from my friend's fb. It is a view from close to where we used to live in Golden, right on the river. Seriously, to die for, right?
Anyway, it is pretty, freaking beautiful here too. We recently went to one of our favorite parks to get some of our Fall on. Here are some shots.

Here are the girls being the Grumpy Old Troll from Dora.
We're not the only ones who sing the "Grumpy Ole Troll" song everytime we see a bridge, right?

And here are some blurry shots that I love just because you can see how much fun the kids are having (and yes, I am kind of a crappy photographer).
And here were some stinky ole, cranky geese who were trying to attack us:

HONK!
And Fall, in Canada, would not be complete w/o one of my favorite things.

My family would all love this. Raspberry Gingerale is good but it's got nothing on the Cranberry one. And this brown sunflower is from our garden.

Family Service Project

Our ward (group) at church organized a big city wide service project collecting food for the Food Bank.  Each family was given a route to put flyers and then we were also in charge of picking up all the food that was donated from our area and take it to the church to be loaded in a big truck and delivered to the food bank.

Greg jogged around a few days before delivering the flyers.  He really enjoyed it.  He said it gave him flashbacks from when he was little and had his paper route.  (He had his first route at age 8.  Crazy.)

Anyway, a few days later, we loaded the family up and drove around like a candy man and picked it all up.  Chloe was even allowed to go outside with Greg and run to the doorsteps and carry things back to the car.
This picture is so trippy because they have the EXACT SAME WALK! Ha, ha! She totally has his legs.

Look at how much fun Chloe is having!

I'm not going to lie, I had a ton of fun being the get-away driver too.

I love doing service as a family.  It makes you feel connected and happy.  It's especially great to do service at holiday times but I hope we can look for other opportunities as our family grows up to do things like this again.

World Peace and PB&J

Tati is our resident spitfire child. This girlfriend is constantly pushing boundaries and patience. There is, however, one thing that she can't resist:

Peanut Butter & Jelly

This girl can and would eat this everyday. Seriously, everyday. Maybe for every meal if I let her. I force her to have variety with her lunches but it is awesome when she has her sandwich and suddenly the house goes quiet, a smile goes on her face and we have our few minutes of peace and harmony.

Nap Time

I love nap time. Not just because the kids are asleep and the house is quiet for a little while but because it means that sometimes I can sneak inside and see them like this. All peaceful and super cute like.
